Samuel Dyches grew up in Jackson Heights, Queens, and is a graduate of Humboldt State University where he studied film production and dramatic writing. He has written and directed several films, most recently the offbeat comedy Hold For Release. As Editor, he’s completed several feature films, including Knockaround Kids, Street Soldiers, and Finding Forever In Love, which have collectively screened in film festivals domestically and internationally. He worked professionally in the Television industry as a cameraman and archivist in Los Angeles, New Orleans, and New York, while also freelancing as cinematographer, editor, and sound mixer on documentary and narrative films.
Samuel continues to develop and write television and film scripts with a focus on indie, character driven projects while taking advantage of the technological revolution and remarkable access to all the cinema tools a filmmaker needs to tell stories in pictures.
